I'm a writer and editor in New York by way of California. My essays and criticism have appeared in The New York Times, The Paris Review, The Nation, The Baffler, The New Republic, The Drift, and elsewhere. My writing about book covers has been featured in Bookforum and Publisher's Weekly, cited by YouTubers and TikTokers, and assigned on syllabi at Cleveland Institute of Art, CUNY's Lehman College, and RMIT University. I hold a BA in Political Science from Emory University and an MA in Cultural Reporting & Criticism from New York University, where I also studied Art History in the Institute of Fine Arts.
